PanOxyl Acne Gel Wash is a powerful, dermatologist-recommended treatment designed to clear up existing acne fast and help prevent new breakouts from forming. Featuring the maximum strength of 10% Benzoyl Peroxide available without a prescription, this foaming wash works deep within the pores to kill acne-causing bacteria at the source.
Product Highlights & Benefits
Maximum Strength Formula: Contains 10% benzoyl peroxide, the highest concentration available over-the-counter for fighting stubborn blemishes.
Kills Acne Bacteria: Targets and eliminates Propionibacterium acnes (P. acnes), the bacteria responsible for inflammatory acne, pimples, and whiteheads.
Deep Cleansing: Clears blocked pores of dirt, excess oil, and debris to prevent future breakouts.
Multi-Use: Effective for both facial acne and body acne (such as breakouts on the chest and back).
How to Use
Because 10% benzoyl peroxide is very potent, it is important to introduce it into your routine gradually to avoid excessive dryness or irritation.
Wet the Area: Splash your face (or target area) with lukewarm water.
Apply a Small Amount: Dispense a dime-sized amount of the gel wash onto your fingertips.
Gently Massage: Work the cleanser into a lather and massage it gently onto the affected areas for 1 to 2 minutes. Avoid getting the product in your eyes or mouth.
Rinse Thoroughly: Wash away all the cleanser completely with lukewarm water and pat dry gently with a clean towel.
Start Slowly: Begin by using it once daily. If your skin tolerates it well, you can gradually increase usage to twice daily (morning and night) if needed.
Follow with Moisturizer: Benzoyl peroxide can be drying, so always follow up with a gentle, oil-free, fragrance-free moisturizer to keep your skin barrier healthy.
⚠️ Important Tips & Cautions:
Bleaching Alert: Benzoyl peroxide bleaches fabrics. Be careful to wash your hands thoroughly after use, and avoid contact with towels, bed linens, and clothing.
Sun Sensitivity: This ingredient can make your skin more sensitive to the sun. Always apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher during the day while using this product.
Initial Adjustment: Mild redness, peeling, or dryness is common when first starting. If severe irritation or peeling occurs, reduce usage to every other day or consult a dermatologist.
